New HAUC Specifications 2002
The HAUC (Highways Authorities and Utilities Committee) specification defines exactly how excavations in highways should be reinstated to make sure roads are kept in good condition.
The first HAUC specification came in to force in 1992; after 10 years of working experience the specification has been tightened - the compaction requirement is more demanding, and reinstatements are to be tested for air void content.
